Lipotriches (Austronomia) sp. (flavoviridis group), Halictid bee ♀

Swan Coastal Plain, Perth, Western Australia

This colourful, metallic green bee species was found collecting pollen from Jacksonia sericea flowers. They are quite small, and their striking colours are easily overlooked by the untrained eye. Identification provided by Terry Houston, of the Western Australian Museum.
