Glycyphana stolata, Brown flower chafer

Swan Coastal Plain, Perth, Western Australia

One of my favourite beetle is the Cetoniidae, the flower chafers. These, often bright, large and cumbersome beetles can often easily be found around flowering Eucalypts. This particular species is quite common around Perth, and is approximately 15mm long.
